Best Bullet Journal Stencils

Whether you’re not great at handwriting or over-the-top banners are more your jam, bujo stencils have about a million uses in your bullet journal.  These are the best bullet journal stencils to use to take your bullet journal to the next level!

I make no secret of the fact that I’m not artistic at all and that I could never ever have an Instagram worthy bullet journal.

Because of this, I take this much simpler approach to my bujo and I take massive shortcuts to making my journal pretty.  These stencils are a big part of my journey to a respectable bullet journal!

Creative Bullet Journals

I’ve covered this before, I’m not at all creative or artistic, but I still find ways to have a beautiful bullet journal.

Stencils are just one part of the equation.

If you’re looking for creative inspiration, the BEST place to go is Instagram.  I love following Boho Berry and all of her crazy bullet journal and digital bujo creations!

Unfortunately, no matter how much inspiration you take away from these awesome bullet journal fanatics, if you just don’t have a creative bone in your body, you’ll need some extra help.

I absolutely love stencils for my banners, habit trackers, and sometimes for new fonts.

Washi tape is my best friend and I use it to help me decorate my pages and identify pages I know I’ll want to refer back to again and again.

These are some of my absolute favorites:

Sticker Packs for Bullet Journals

The Happy Planner popularized sticker packs that are basically a DIY bullet journal in a little booklet.

There are all kinds of monthly, weekly, and daily stickers, decorative stickers, basically a sticker for every single thing you could possible want or dream of for your bujo.

Check out these sticker packs for inspiration.

Bullet Journal from the Dollar Tree

Every time I’m in the Dollar Tree, I’m more and more amazed by all of the awesome supplies you can get for your bullet journal.

While I’d still recommend spending a little more on your actual journal, you can totally cut corners to bullet journal on a budget.

The Dollar Tree (if you don’t have one nearby, check out your local dollar store or even shop at Dollar Tree online!) has TONS of washi tape. I’m the proud owner of a lot of those rolls myself.

They have stencils, stickers, pens, stamps…

Bujo Stencils

The best part about these stencils is you can afford them on even the tightest bullet journal budget!

I love this stencil set for all kinds of banners!  When you want to make an awesome banner, but can never seem to get it symmetrical enough for your liking – this will literally save your sanity.

If you’re looking for a cheap banner stencil, look no further. This one is usually under $6, available for Amazon Prime (so you get it ASAP!) and is perfect whether you use a Letchturm or Moleskine journal!

If you want to go absolutely crazy with stencils in your bujo, this is the set for you. If you’re a “go big or go home” bullet journal fanatic, you’ll love this set.

What are the Best Stencils for Bujo Handwriting?

I love these stencils for bujo handwriting, especially for labeling your dailies, weeklies, and monthly pages.

It’s so hard to get the sizing just right and if you’re anal about this stuff like I am, having a stencil to use for those headers will help tremendously – trust me.

Not a stencil, but another one of my absolute FAVORITE products, that I somehow just discovered, is this awesome washi tape.

I have no idea how I managed to make it this far in life without realizing this stuff exists, but I swear I can’t live without these.

If you like washi tape for your weeklies, you’ll love these:

This handwriting set is a must-have in my book because it has so many options, it’s ridiculously cheap, and with this many options – your bujo will never look like you use one set of stencils.

There’s a font set for any theme!

Best Stencils for Bullet Journal

Now let’s talk about stencil sets for your bullet journal!

Some stencils some with tons of options PLUS pens you can be confident will work well in your bujo.

While I have a lot of opinions about the best pens to use for stenciling (we’ll get to that in a minute), I have never run into trouble using the pens that actually came with a stencil set.

If you’re just getting started with bullet journaling, or if you’re looking for a gift for someone who is, you HAVE TO check out this set. It comes with everything – including the journal!

Plus, for this price, you seriously can’t beat this deal.

Here’s another set that seriously has my heart.

There are so many stencils, washi tape, stickers…

Metal Bullet Journal Stencil

If you’re looking for high-quality stencils that will last for a long time and not stain with tons of pen and marker use, you’ll need to invest in some metal bullet journal stencils.

This one is great for handwriting:

This metal stencil has tons of designs, but I love it most for the border and header patterns.

Best Pens for Stenciling

Do you get a high from buying pens and washi tape?  No?  Just me?

Listen, if you love bullet journaling, I already know you can’t resist amazing pens and colorful washi tape and all the bujo supplies.

If you’re stocking up on stencils to escalate your bullet journal life to the next level, these are the pens you need to help you do it.

These are possibly the best pens you can buy for stenciling.

If you’ve been creating in your bullet journal for any length of time, you know the pain that comes from using a pen or marker that bleeds through the pages.  Obviously this is why you buy a higher-quality journal to begin with, but even with the best preventative measures, pen bleeds still happen.

The best way to avoid it is to use pens specifically designed for journaling like these ones.

Finally, let’s talk about dual tip pens.

If you don’t own about a million pens, please comment below and tell me your secret.

My weakness is pens, markers, paper, journals, planners…basically all things you can locate in the office supply section.

If you’re starting a bullet journal for the first time or if you’re just feeding your pen addiction, I highly recommend these dual tipped pens.
