How to create a playspace when you don't have room in your small house for a playroom!

If you don't have room in your home for a playroom, you can create  one with a little creativity. Multipurpose spaces are your friend in a small home. We created playspaces in our 1401 square foot home and you can too!

First - embrace a little chaos. Our dining room table is where we eat, play games, do homeschool, art projects, and more. We separate our items - like games on one big shelf in the garage, art supplies in one cart, etc. Separate the supplies, not the area where you use them.

Declutter all of your toys, then implement a toy rotation system. I will link exactly how we do this, but I can't overstate what a life saver this has been to my sanity in our smal home with no playroom.

Keep Things in Perspective: Without our smaller home, we couldn't have afforded the large yard we have. Now, we have the space for a large vegatable garden that helps us cut food costs.

We save so  much every year over living in a house that the size many would say we "need" for our family size that we can afford a Disney Annual Pass and go frequently throughout the year. The savings of a small home is huge!
