Best Gifts for 2 Year Olds Under $20!

Whether you’re shopping for a birthday or a holiday, it can be so tough to sort out what toys make a good fit – especially for the 2 year olds on your list.  After all, kids grow so fast and their interests change…so spending a ton of money on toys just isn’t realistic.  This is my favorite list of toys (that my 2 year old loves!) for under $20!

We order almost all of our toys on Amazon Prime.  I just can’t bring myself to pay for shipping.  If you want to give Amazon Prime a try for FREE for 30 days – click here and sign up!

VTech Little Apps Tablet

This tablet is perfect for road trips.  I love that it has alphabet buttons AND piano keys!

VTech Call & Chat Learning Phone

All kids LOVE toy phones and I think this one is just about perfect, plus you can’t beat the price.  The little dad button is cute and gets tons of use while my husband is at work.

Melissa & Doug On the Go Water Wow! Activity Book, 3-Pack – Animals, Alphabet, and Numbers

Let’s be honest – have you ever met a Melissa and Doug product you didn’t love?  They’re always so well made, kids love them, and they seem to last forever.  This one (well, three) is no exception.  They come with a refillable water pen.  The pages dry and you can use them like the first time, for many, many uses.  These are also perfect for travel.  If you have any road trips coming up, these are perfect for mess-free car seat activities.

Crayola Color Wonder Mess-Free Art Desk with Stamps,Coloring Board

Anyone who had kids before Crayola came out with Color Wonder, my heart goes out to you.  All of the Color Wonder stuff is awesome (and did I mention mess free??) but it’s also so exciting for little minds.  This stamp set is one of my favorites.  It’s basically the same excitement as stickers except that you don’t have to peel off of your furniture because your little one soon learns they only work on special paper.

Leap Frog Number Lovin’ Oven

If you’re looking for a toy that will be useful for years to come, this one is a great choice.  I love that it’s so versatile for many ages ( the suggested age listed by LeapFrog is 24 months to 5 years).

The younger age groups will just love pretend “baking” in the little oven and perhaps some number recognition.  Children ages 4 and 5 can start to actually do simple division.  I love toys that can be used by siblings of different ages!

First Remote Control Car

Kids at this age LOVE to control things…which you’ve probably figured out by now.  Whether they’re trying to steal the TV remote, take your cell phone, or your car keys, kids around the 2 year mark love to see how much they can control on their own.

This remote control car is the perfect solution for that…although I can’t guarantee they aren’t going to still try to steal your things.
